Grand Prix Table.

Originally called model 3130, the chair got its new name after winning the „Grand Prix“ at the XI Triennale di Milano in 1957. In terms of construction and production, the chair, made of teak or beech, is similar to Jacobsen’s other chair designs from this period, such as the Ant or the Series 7 designed in 1955. (By the way, Series 7 is the best-selling chair in the world). The production of the Grand Prix chair has always been in the hands of Fritz Hansen. Arne Jacobsen designed the Grand Prix Table as an extension of the Grand Prix chair, but it was produced for a short time only. A teak plate, which is carried by profiled legs, once again points to outstanding craftsmanship and a clear design.

We currently have an early specimen in the showroom, in good vintage condition.
